Libeara Secures $14M for Global Tokenization Infrastructure Expansion
Singapore's Libeara has closed a $14 million strategic funding round led by crypto market maker GSR, with participation from Openspace Capital, Kyobo Life Insurance Group, and other institutional investors. The capital injection targets global expansion of its tokenization platform, positioning it as primary infrastructure for financial institutions issuing tokenized assets.
The investor consortium reflects the hybrid nature of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization—combining Southeast Asian venture capital, Korean institutional finance, and crypto-native firms. Kyobo Life Insurance's involvement signals growing institutional interest, particularly in South Korea where digital asset frameworks are advancing rapidly.
Founder Aaron Gwak emphasized the round brings together "the right combination of traditional financial markets, technology, and ecosystem reach" to build institutional-grade tokenized markets. The funding comes as traditional finance increasingly intersects with blockchain infrastructure.
